In 1880, a book was published with the title, "History of Clermont County, Ohio." There is a section on Religious Societies. The name of Charity Beck along with the names of her father-in-law, husband, father, mother, and cousin are found near the middle of page 330 and in the left column. The following statement is included:
"But the first organized religious body in Tate was
THE REGULAR BAPTIST CHURCH OF BETHEL,
whose beginning dated from 1799, if not earlier. The original members numbered but 6, and were Jeremiah Beck, Sr., Jeremiah Beck, Jr., Obed Denham, Mary Denham, Charity Beck, and Kelly Burke."
Charity's father, Obed Denham, died in Clermont County, Ohio in 1817. On 4 Sep 1818, the heirs of Obed Denham transferred 92 acres of land in Clermont County, Ohio to Charity's brother-in-law, James Denham of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This indenture (See Memorial # 207735910) was recorded on pages 77-79 of Deed Book R, Volume 16 in Clermont County, Ohio. The heirs listed in this document include John Denham (brother), James Denham (brother), William Denham (brother), Jeremiah Beck (husband), and Davis Crane (brother-in-law).
Charity Beck died in Clermont County, Ohio and her will was recorded on pages 369-371 in Will Book F during March 1851. Included in the Last Will and Testament are the names of some of her descendants as follows:
