Isaac Richardson appears to have come to America from Lancastershire, England, in or before 1714. He settled in Whiteland Township, Chester County, PA, where he died in 1726. His 550 acres of land were divided among his children. In 1721, he was constable of Whiteland Township.

Isaac married in 1707 in England, to Katharine Gandy, born 7, 29, 1691, in Chestershire, England, to Richard & Ellen Gandy. A Quaker, Katharine joined the Chester Meeting, Chester County, PA, on 7, 26, 1715, on a certificate from Hartshaw Meeting, Lancastershire, England, dated 12, 15, 1714.

According to the 1881 History of Chester County, PA, Isaac Richardson was not a Quaker, but his will suggests otherwise. At least he raised his children in that faith. After he died, Katharine married 2nd to Robert Benson of Uwchlan, PA. Robert died in 1746 and was survived by his wife and 5 children.

Isaac & Katharine's five children: Mary, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Martha, & John.
