Mrs. Leo F. Schwab, 56, died at her home in St. Nazianz Friday evening following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church in the village, the Rev. Denis Cooney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born July 26, 1901, at Kiel, daughter of the late Louis and Katherine Christel Simon. As a child she came to St. Nazianz with her parents. She was married to Mr. Schwab Oct. 23, 1922, and the couple took over the fox farm in the village for seven years. They later purchased a farm three miles east of the village where they farmed for 20 years before retiring and moving into the village. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Catherine) Brannigan, of Chicago, Mrs. Francis (Shirley) Deehr, of School Hill, Mrs. Norman (Rosie) Schneider, on the homestead farm, Mrs. James (Arline) Deehr, of Osman, and Mrs. Dave (Bernadine) Ryan, of Valders; asister, Mrs. Martin Connolly of Chicago; and 10 grandchildren.
A brother preceded her in death.
