She was born November 18, 1926 in St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Simon) Schwab. On April 24, 1946, Rosie married Norman Schneider at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2014. Norman and Rosie farmed in rural Valders for many years until their retirement in 2000. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and watching birds. Rosie loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include five children and their spouses: Gene and Dorene Schneider, Valders, Janice and Arthur Behnke, Brillion, Carol and Ted Meyer, Valders, Paul and Cheri Schneider, Valders, and Scott and Terry Schneider, Two Rivers; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister and one brother-in-law: Arline and James Deehr, Osman; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Dave Ryan, Valders, and Lawrence and Shirley Schneider, Osman; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Mary Ann and Tony Lipski, Manitowoc, Betty and Donald Wallander, Two Rivers, Dorothy Kutz, Manitowoc, and Mark Pupeter, Two Rivers.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Norman; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Katherine and John Brannigan, Shirley and Francis Deehr, and Bernadine “Mauie” Ryan; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Agnes Pupeter, Arlene and Sylvester Schneider and Francis Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave.), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
