Mrs. Murray was born March 15, 1873 at Au Sable Forks, New York, a daughter of Luther and Sarah (Joy) Wilkins, where she spent the most of her life.
On January 12, 1890, she was united in marriage with James Murray and of this union 4 children survive, 2 daughters and 2 sons, namely: Mrs. Lillian Minogue, Mrs. Frank Saltmarsh, Clyde Murray and Clifford Murray, all of Clintonville; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. May Hart of Lake Luzerne, Mrs. Edward Colby of Au Sable Forks and Mrs. Fred Forbes; one brother, Rollie Bashaw of Au Sable Forks.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, October 22, 1956, at 9 o'clock at St. Catherine's Church in Clintonville with interment in Holy Name Cemetery, Au Sable Forks. Bearers were grandsons, John and Neil Murray, Walter and William Murray, James Minogue and Kenneth Goucher.
