At his bedside when the end came were his wife, two daughters and a son. Mr. Bashaw's parents were Mose and Sarah (Joy) Bashaw. He was born at Mineville on March 14, 1891. When he was a young boy his parents moved to Au Sable Forks, New York. He attended school in that vicinity.
Mr. Bashaw operated a small farm on Green Street most of his life. He worked in the woods many years and was a wood jobber over a long period. Eight years prior to his detah he retired from active employment because of ill health.
He was married to Ruth Davis of Poultney, Vt., June 28, 1915, and was survived her, three sons and three daughters. Mr. Bashaw will be remembered by many as a skilled fisherman and before illness prevented him he liked to hunt for big game and pass many hours at a time in the forest.
