He also enlisted in Chambersburg February 24, 1865, mustered there February 28 as a private with the second organization of Co. K, 87th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company June 29, 1865.
He married Laura Jane Durff and fathered Amanda Lydia (b. @1868) and Henry F. (b. @1869). In 1880, lived in Monroe Township, Cumberland County.
