Mrs. Davis retired from Duke University after 33 years of service as a Bio-Medical Secretary. She currently worked for Dickerson Fencing. She attended Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Carpenter and Ronald Carpenter.
She is survived by one son, Norman Davis Jr. (Amy); one daughter, Lisa Norris Fuhrman (Bob Hicks); one brother, Claiborne Carpenter (Sandra); two sisters, Linda Wheeler (Wes) and Doris Shealey (Jim); four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Ronnie Bell will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
