Sister Constantine Fabian, 71, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Saturday, August 13, 1988 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Julian C. Resch O.Praem with burial to follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Sister Fabian was born August 13, 1917 at Mingo Junction, Ohio, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Krizan Fabian. The former Elizabeth Fabian entered the Convent in 1940 and professed her vows in 1943. Sister received a BA Degree in history from Holy Family College, Manitowoc. Sister taught at St. Boniface at Manitowoc, St. Nicholas at Zanesville, Ohio, St. Sylvester at Woodsfield, Ohio, Immaculate Conception at West DePere, Wisconsin, St. John at Antigo, Wisconsin, St. Joseph at Rice Lake, Wisconsin, St. John at Wellsburg, West Virginia, St. Mary at Delawre, Ohio, San Roque at Santa Barbara, California, Sacred Heart at Oshkosh, Wisconsin and St. Pius the X at Appleton, Wisconsin since 1986.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Andrew C. Fabian O.P. of Winona, Minnesota, Rev. John Fabian O.P., of the South Pacific, Peter and Betty Fabian of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Joseph and Eleanor Fabian of Necedah, Wisconsin; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes and Alfred Buccalo of Follansbee, West Virginia, Kathryn and Benjamin Taggart of Steubenville, Ohio, Mary and Pat Standardi of Weirton, West Virginia and Marge and Richard Everett of LaCrescenta, California.
Friends may call at Holy Family Convent, 8:30 am until the hour of service at 10:30 am on Tuesday. There will be no Monday evening visitation at the funeral home. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
