ATTORNEY A.R. RUSSELL --- Alexander R Russell a prominent attorney in St. Louis and a brother of Mrs A.M.Shaw who lives south of Coulterville, died in Barnes Hospital in St Louis, Monday. Mr Russell was 57 years old. His body laid in state in the C.R. Lupton Undertaking Parlors, until 6:00 p.m.Tuesday, after which it was taken to his former home at Clay Center, Kansas for burial. Mr Russell was the son of the late David Russell and Sallie Hair Russell of Clay Center. Before moving to St Louis in 1897 he held the position of assistant attorney general of Kansas. After going to St Louis he was associated for a number of years with the law firm of Laughlin,Frumber, Blodgett and Russell. But three years ago he severed this connection and had since practiced by himself. Mrs. Shaw went over to St. Louis and from thence to Clay Center to attend the funeral services.
