Leoma B. Boatright, 80, of Salem, died August 21, 1989, at the St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.

She was born December 16, 1908 in Emboden to the late Albert W. Decker and Stella May Hurt Decker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Boatright; one son, Horace G. Boatright; and five sisters.

She was a faithful member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Boatright of Salem and Dale Boatright of Farmington; three daughters, Betty Lynn McClanahan of Afton, Mary Ann Martin and Carol LaDon Cluck, both of St. Charles; two brothers, Albert M. Decker of Houston, TX, Harold Decker of Crockett, TX; three sisters, Mildred Sweeney of Flat River, Opal Ferrell of Houston, TX, and Betty Jane Higgins of Murray, KY; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation begins after 6:00 p.m. today at the Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Preston Hunt officiating and assisted by Rev. Phil Vaughan. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
