Lester W. Wintermyer, 87, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003 at his residence. He was the husband of Marguerite C. (Tedesco) Wintermyer who died April 27, 1991.
Born in York, he was the son of the late William H. and Katie W. (Lau) Wintermyer. Mr. Wintermyer worked for the former Teledyne McKay and A.B. Farquhar Company. He was a member of Dover A.A.R.P., Pennsylvania Dutch Club, and a board member of the Heritage Senior Center. He was a private in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He is survived by three daughters, Gloria J. Klinedinst, Pamela J. Sponsler and Carol A. Burkey, all of York; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Curtis R. Wintermyer, York; two sisters, Anna M. Albright and Nettie A. Oberlander, both of York; several nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). The service is scheduled for 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles H. Oberkehr from Shiloh Lutheran Church. Final resting place will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
