Mr. Boyer was a lifelong resident of Hancock County growing up and living in his family home built by Elias Boyer around 1800. He was educated in the Linton School and became an astute Mathematician. He was retired from JP Stevens and was a farmer. Mr. Boyer was the son and caregiver of the late Thomas and Clara Jackson Boyer and was preceded in death by his siblings Elsie Garland, Clarice Gaultney, Aguilla Bridger, and Billy E. Boyer. He loved fishing trips with his brother Billy and he was a member of Linton United Methodist Church.
Mr. Boyer is survived by sisters Hazel (Hillory) Stanton of Macon, Brothers- Jack (Pearl) Boyer, Sterling (Sadie) Boyer both of Sparta, and Thomas Boyer, Jr. of Gordon, and a number of nieces and nephews including Doris Garland and Scott Boyer.
