Thomas Boyer, Jr. age 96 passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Linton Cemetery.
Mr. Boyer was a native and life-long resident of Hancock County. He was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a farmer and gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Clara Boyer, his wife Mary Archer Boyer, a daughter Jane Boyer, a son Kenny Boyer, his siblings, Elsie, Clarise, Aquilla, Robert and Billy.
Survivors include a daughter Mary Frances Dobler and her husband Al, two sons, Barney Boyer and his wife Ann, and Richard Boyer and his wife Jewell, all of Milledgeville, two brothers, Sterling Boyer and Jack Boyer of Hancock County and a sister Hazel Stanton of Macon, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Linton Methodist Church Building Fund.
Moores Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
