Dale E. Loe, 53, a resident at Park Terrace Apartments, collapsed while walking along a city street on Monday, Jan. 29, 1992. He was taken by EMS to Whitley County Memorial Hospital and died at 11:45 a.m. Mr. Loe was born Dec. 26, 1938, in Whitley County, a son of James and Olive DeWitt Loe. When he was a young boy, his family moved to Huntington County and he was educated at Roanoke School. In 1955 he moved to Larwill and in 1983 to Columbia City.
On July 26, 1985, he was married to Evelyn May. They have always lived in Columbia City. Mr. Loe had been employed by Passages inc. and recently by Fiber Form.
Surviving are his wife Evelyn; brothers James of Plymouth, Franklin of Roanoke and Arthur of Larwill; sisters Imogene Tylerof Huntington, Mrs. Arthur (Netha) Walter of Columbia City. Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Ulrey of Warsaw, Mrs. Leo (Alice) Mort, Pierceton and Mrs. Kenneth (Catherine) Sheets of Larwill.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith and Sons Funeral home in Columbia City with the Rev. Gene Kinney, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. today.
Burial will be at South Whitley Cemetery.
