Charles, 97, of Charlotte, passed away on January 29, 2013. Charles was the son of Leon and Ree (Love) Bracy.

He graduated from Charlotte High School and farmed on the family farm and neighbors' farms. On November 29, 1941, he married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Roberts. A week later, he was called to serve his country overseas.

Upon his return, Charles continued working as a farmer and, later, for Farm Bureau Co-op. He loved the outdoors, particularly camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends, a love he passed on to his grandchildren.

Charles was a member of the Ainger Bible Church of Olivet, where he served as Sunday school teacher and Deacon.

Charles is survived by 3 Daughters: Charlene (Richard) Kenney of Bellevue, MI, Bonnie (David) Turley of Decatur, MI, Ruth (Clayton) Whipple of Charlotte, MI; 9 grand children and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary on July 11, 1988, and siblings Leslie Bracy, Dortha Satterlee, Lana Crilly, Frank Bracy, Ed Bracy, Ellis Bracy and Rolland Bracy.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Ainger Bible Church, Olivet, MI, with Pastor Scott Brood officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ainger Bible Church, Eaton Community Palliative Care or Gideon's International.
