LEESVILLE - Melvin H. Shealy, 82, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Austin Shull, Daniel Bartley, Jonathan Shealy, Scott Frye, Josh Frye and Dale Harmon. Mr. Shealy was born in Leesville, SC, son of the late Chester E. and Viola Snelgrove Shealy. He was a member of Highland Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a brick mason. Surviving are his son, Anthony Shealy; grandchildren, Allyson (Daniel) Bartley; and Elizabeth (Austin) Shull; sisters, Myrtice Shealy; Leta Grice; Lois Crapps; Evetta Gleaton; Olivia Kirkland; Juanita Harmon; brothers, Garlyn Shealy; and Lamar Shealy. He was preceded in death by sister, Vilette Shealy; and brothers, John, Graham, and Lathan Shealy. The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 P.M. Saturday, September 29, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Highland Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church, 309 Youman Street, Batesburg, SC 29006, or Lexington Medical Extended Care, 815 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
