LEESVILLE - Mrs. Viola Annieree Snelgrove Shealy, 73, died Thursday morning in a Columbia hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Shealy was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late John Neal and Mellison Shealy Snelgrove.
Surviving are her husband; seven daughters, Myrtice, Violett, Lois and Evetta Shealy of the home, Mrs. Owens Grice and Mrs. Everette Harmon of Leesville and Mrs. Wendell Kirkland of Batesburg; five sons, Garvin Shealy of the home, Melvin and John Shealy of Leesville, Lathan Shealy of Batesburg and Lamar Shealy of Anderson; one half-sister, Mrs. Blease Derrick of Leesville; and a half-brother, Arthur Snelgrove of Leesville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Highland Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church of Batesburg conducted by the Rev. Mitchell Brewer and the Rev. Perry Montgomery with burial in Richcrest Memorial Park of Batesburg.
Pallbearers will be Vernon Shealy, Roderick Shealy, Henry Shealy, Enos Rikard, Charles Clinton and Brady Derrick.
Shealy Funeral Home is in charge.
