Nellie was married first to Charley A. Houchin on May 12, 1897 in Red Oak, Montgomery County, IA. I couldn't find a Findagrave page for Charley. They had one daughter, Armenda Dee Houchin, born August 9, 1898. I just found a death notice for Nellie as follows:
