That said, Richard died aged 38y 10m 14d according to a 1961 reading of headstones in this cemetery. However, that part of the inscription may have been misread, as that age at death doesn't correspond to the age of 5 in 1850. The headstone now is too weathered to clearly read to resolve the discrepancy.
Married to a Ella Adams Ankrom. She reportedly remarried to a "John Russell" in 1882.
Richard, according to information on an Ancestry family tree, was "Killed by a team of runaway horses."
