Son of James T. Floyd and Margaret Bryant.

Funeral services were held Thurs. 25 Feb [1949] at the Oak Grove Church for Charles Lincoln Floyd, who died 22 Feb at the age of 86. Services were conducted by Rev. V.A. Jones, assisted by Rev. Tom Pepper. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cem. He professed faith in Christ in early life and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Gabe. He married Martha Ellen Price in 1880 and to this union 10 children were born, 2 of which preceded him in death. Surviving are 8 children, Mrs. Mollie Judd, Mrs. Minnie Pickett, William Floyd, and Earl Floyd, Greensburg, Mr. Tom Floyd, Hoopeston, Ill., Mrs. Lou Ann Risen, Summersville, Ky; Huelan Floyd, Louisville; and Mrs. Virgie Shuffett, Louisville. Also surviving are 41 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Pallbearers were Ralph Shuffett, Sonny Judd, Cleo Morrison, Garland Floyd, Colby Judd and John Floyd. Flower girls were Ruby Bell, Edna Judd, Louise Henderson, Delois Priddy, Elizabeth Floyd, Catherine Beard, Jun Morrison, Magoline Floyd, Dorothy Judd, Bettie Judd, Omega Judd and Nina Floyd.
