A Marion native, Mrs. Cooper was a member of Caledonia Memorial United Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service, Caledonia Homemakers Club and Marion Swamp Fox Camping Club. She was a past noble grand of Deborah Chapter of Rebekahs in Caledonia.
