LEOMINSTER -- Helen C. (Mahoney) Brodeur, 83, of 479 North St., died at home on Saturday, August 10, after an 8-month battle with cancer.
She was born April 13, 1919, in Brookline, the daughter of Cornelius and Maria (Giblin) Mahoney.
Mrs. Brodeur worked for the R.H. White Store in Leominster for 10 years until retiring several years ago. She was a poll worker for the City of Leominster and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Norman O. Brodeur; one son, Stephen J. Brodeur of Silver Spring, Md.; three daughters, Jane M. Brodeur of Great Barrington, Nancy Funder of Hanover, and Christine Reilly of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren and a niece.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 13, from the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., Fitchburg, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. (Sentinel & Enterprise (Fitchburg, MA) 8/10/2002)
