Obituary of Sherman Snyder: Park Record, Park City, Utah
Sherman Snyder died Wednesday morning, supposedly from typhoid fever. Deceased was 27 years of age and leaves a young wife, two sisters and a brother in the Park, besides other relatives. He was a brother to Mrs. E. P. (Lillie) Evans and Mrs. Chance McKendrick (Sylvia). The funeral took place Thursday afternoon from the residence of Frank Snyder, Bishop Fred Rasband officiating. There was a large attendance, as the young man was well and fvorable known. His stricken family are deeply sympathized with. Sherman Snyder is supposed to have been the first baby born in Park City and has resided here continuously. For some time past, he has been engaged as a brakeman on the Union Pacific railroad, but had worked at all kinds of employment. He was good hearted, honest, young man, and though for some time, his health has been failing, his death came as a surprise.

Sherman was the son of George Gideon Snyder and Rhoda Orchard Snyder.
