Richard M. Webb, age 78, died May 17, 1996, at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.
He was born July 4, 1917, in Salt Lake City, a son of Henry Farrell and Martha Glenn Webb. He married Joyce K. Strickley on June 12, 1940, in Salt Lake City. Dick was reared and educated in Salt Lake City. He was in the original class graduating from South High School. He served in the Army during World War II. Dick owned and operated the Better Heating Service in Salt Lake City for over 30 years. After retiring, he moved to St. George in 1981.
His first love was his family, but he also loved riding horses and traveling in his motorhome.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of St. George; two daughters, Penny (husband Lee) West, and Jolene "Jo" Webb, all of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, Angela (husband Tracy), Tamra (husband Tim), Jennifer and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Lyndsee; a brother, Phillip (wife Lola) Webb; and three sisters, Dorothy (husband Kerm) Fullmer, Margie Fikstad, and Ilene Mower, all of Salt Lake City.
Family and friends may call for viewing at the Colonial Mortuary in Salt Lake City, 2128 South State Street, Tuesday evening, May 21, 1996, from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and "N" Street, Wednesday, May 22, at 11 a.m., all under the direction of the Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, St. George.
