Ilene Joan Webb Mower, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and wonderful friend departed this world on the afternoon of February 12, 2002 at the age of 74.

She was born December 11, 1927 to Henry Farrow Webb and Martha Glenn Webb.

Ilene was truly loved by all who's life she touched. The world might be a better place if we could all live our lives as she lived hers. Some of Ilene's greatest joys in life were children and animals who she so tenderly cared for and protected.

A graduate of Salt Lake City's South High School Ilene later received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah. She pursued a full and rewarding career as an educator with a deep love of children and a genuine desire to see them learn and succeed. She was unsurpassed as an educator, and continued to teach and influence children well after retirement.

She is survived by her two sons, Casey Mower, and Kelly (Ginny) Mower; a beautiful granddaughter, Katrina Lynn Mower; sister, Margie; brother, Phil; a very special friend, Don Berg; niece and dear friend LaVone Pale; Lucy, Bomber, Tomcat and many other friends and family both young and old.

"You will be greatly missed Ilene, please continue to watch over us."

"Look in on Rex and King from time to time."

Friends and family may call on Saturday, Feb. 16th, from 1-2 p.m. with a short funeral service to follow immediately at Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary located at 372 E. 100 So. Salt Lake City.

Interment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. & N Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 324 S. 400 W. #C, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
