Mr. Gary Allen Armstrong, age 54, of Marion, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Methodist-Central Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Armstrong was a deputy sheriff for Crittenden County and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in West Memphis. He was also a member of the Centurions for Christ. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Frazer Armstrong, of Marion; four sons, Billy Armstrong, Nathaniel Armstrong, both of Marion, Dale Armstrong, of West Memphis, Jeff Armstrong, of Jonesboro; three step-daughters, Melissa Cassaday, of Hannibal, Mo., Michelle Light, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Billie Marie Bell, of West Memphis; a sister, Carolyn Armstrong, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Sam Armstrong, of Forrest City, Ed Armstrong, of West Memphis; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Armstrong will be Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in West Memphis. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
