Mr. Armstrong was born in Lepanto, AR to the late Elmer & Opal Lee Armstrong.
He was a member of West Memphis First Baptist Church and a former police officer for the West Memphis Police Department before retiring as a sherrif's deputy from the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office.
He is survived by his wife, Fe Armstrong of Marion, AR; two sons, Edward Aaron and Rodney Allen Armstrong both of West Memphis; one sister, Carolyn Armstrong of West Palm Beach, FL, and Sam Armstrong of Forrest City, AR.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Allen Armstrong.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 Pm at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis and service 10:00 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
