Nando Cornett dies
Funeral services for Fernando Curtis Cornett, 69, of Blackey, were conducted at Mt. Olivet Regular Baptist Church March 20 by Elder I. D. Back, Herman Caudill and James Fields. Burial was in the Cornett cemetery.
Mr. Cornett died March 17 at the Whitesburg hospital.
He was born in Blackey and was a son of Anderson and Susan Cornett.
Survivors are his wife, Tessie Mae Cornett; four children, Curtis Dean Cornett, Alaska; Ava Lene Blair and Martha Sue Cornett, California, and Alton Lee Cornett, Ohio; three brothers, Arch, Lily and McKinley Cornett, all of Blackey, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Hogg, Blackey, and three grandchildren.
