Services for Newton Theo Beacham, 91 will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev W.L. Tipton will officiate, and burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
A lifelong resident of Laurens County, Mr. Beacham was the son of the late Lewis Oscar Beacham and the late Myrtle Dukes Beacham. He was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and was retired from Amoco Oil Company. Mr. Beacham died Thursday in a Dublin nursing home.
Survivors are his son, Bobby Beacham of Lawrenceville; a daughter Karon Martinez of Grayson; three brothers, Paul Beacham and Duke Beacham, both of Dublin, and Oscar Beacham Jr. of Rockledge; three sisters, Hazel B. Drew of Dublin, Mary B. Wynn of Rockledge and Nell B. Whitaker of Macon; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Duke Beacham Jr., Todd Calhoun, Carlton Moore, Randy Smith, Jeff Smith and Brian Garnto.
Townsend Brothers Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
