L. 0. Beacham, 73, Rockledge
route one, died early this morning
at his residence after being in ill
health for six months. Funeral services
will be held at 8:00 o'clock
Wednesday afternoon at the
Rockledge Methodist Church and
interment will be in Mt Zion
Church Cemetery. The Rev. Fred
Carter will be in charge and the
Rev. Tom Hall Ivey, Jr, will assist
Adams Funeral Home of Dublin
will direct Mr. Beacham was taken
to his home this afternoon to lie
in state and will also be placed in
the church at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow
before the funeral.
Mr Beacham was born and reared
in Laurens County and had
lived in the Rockledge community
all his life. He was the son Of the
late Cicero Beacham and Mary
Branch Beacham. He was a former
member of the Board of Education,
serving on the board 14 years, and
he was a former county commis-
sioner, a position he held 8 years,
He was a member of the Rockledge
Methodist—Church and was a
steward. He was married to the
former Miss Myrtle Dukes.
