Elmer A. Buckli (Buchli) was born on October 2, 1897 in Montana, Buffalo County, Wisconsin, to Martin Buchli and Louisa (Florin) Buchli. He passed away on May 23, 1954 at his home as the result of a heart attack. Elmer was raised on the farm in Montana Township. He married Helen K. Dalgleish on May 21, 1920 in Winona, Minnesota. They lived in Eau Claire where they raised their five children. Elmer served his country in the Army during War World I. He was employed as a rural mail carrier for 32 years. He played in the church orchestra. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Ardys and Ruth; three sons, Gordon, Warren and Ronald; a brother, Louis; and six grandchildren. Services were held at the Stokes & Sons Chapel in Eau Claire. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
