Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Roberts Dixon, 77, died at her residence, 722 Avalon Park, at 1:35 a.m. today (4/28/1958) after a long illness.
She was a native of Christansburg, Ky., a daughter of the late William (Willie) George and Betty Rodgers Roberts. She attended Franklin County schools. She had been a resident of Lexington for the past 49 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary B. Gallagher, Lexington; Mrs. Willie B. Hoffman, Park Hills, Ky., and Mrs. Sarah Jane (John L.) Kovach, Erlanger, Ky.; a son, Richard Dixon Jr., Lexington, three sisters, Mrs. Rosa (Hubert) Woodward and Mrs. Kizzie (William) Rena, both of Lexington, and Mrs. Tillie (O. T.) Moore, Frankfort; two brothers, J. Albert and Sam H. Roberts, both of Lexington, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the W. R. Milward Mortuary – Broadway, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Franklin Owen and the Rev. George M. Trout. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Friends may call at the mortuary after 3:30 Wednesday. 4/28/1958
