Samuel Fischer Lawrence, who came to College Place in March from Kansas, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hardy in College Place. He was a widower. Mr. Lawrence was born December 30, 1879 at Kansas. He was a retired Union Pacific railroad engine watchman and a bee-keeper by avocation. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church.
He was survived by Mrs. Joseph (Iris) Hardy of College Place, Mrs. Lowell (Wilma) Howson, Angwin, Calif., Mrs. Ralph (Edris) Stryker of Eugene, Ore., Marvin F. Lawrence, Heron Lake, Minn., and Lloyd Lawrence of San Francisco; sisters Mrs. Alice Fisher and Mrs. Minnie McQuiston of Los Angeles and Mrs. Nettie Rinnan of Pico, Calif.
