Passed away on Thursday September 6, 2012 at Forest Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener. She was born 102 years ago in Wellesley Township and was the daughter of the late Christian Z. & Veronica (Boshart) Roth.
Beloved wife of the late Simeon W. Jantzi who predeceased her in 1973. Loving mother of Ruth Leis of Waterloo, Wesley Jantzi & friend Margo of McGregor, Louise & Ralph Gingerich of R.R. # 1 St. Agatha, Ken Jantzi of New Hamburg, Bill & Lucille Jantzi of Petersburg, Simeon Jantzi of Waterloo, Maryann & Ralph Steckley of Wellesley. Sadly missed by 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Remembered by sisters Erma Roth, Eileen & David Roth, Viola Wagler, brother-in-law Leon Shantz, sisters-in-law Cora Roth, Miriam Nafziger and Edna Jantzi. Mary Ann was predeceased by a son John in infancy, daughters-in-law Gail Jantzi, Marjorie Jantzi, son-in-law Allen Leis, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sarah & Ohmer Gerber, William Roth, Annie & David Jantzi, Mahlon & Mary Roth, Samuel & Anna Mae Roth, Laurene & Ivan Nafziger, Omar Wagler, Ruth Shantz, Tobias & Annetta Jantzi, Elias & Laura Jantzi, Aaron & Emma Jantzi, Benjamin Jantzi, Samuel Jantzi and Irvin Nafziger.
Mary Ann was a member of the Restored Church of God. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family.

A private family interment will take place on Monday September 10, 2012 at Rush's Cemetery, Wellesley Township. The memorial service to celebrate Mary Ann's life will follow at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg at 2:30 p.m. with Mr. Gary Goebel officiating.
