Badly Burned About Face And Body Interment Will Take Place Saturday
Last Wednesday morning Ruby Barker, the little eight year old daughter of R.S. Barker, who was visiting at the home of her brother Earl Barker, near Rankin, attempted to kindle a fire with kerosene. The flames from the kerosene set fire to her clothing and she received burns that resulted in her death Friday. The burns were mainly about the face and body and of such a serious nature that death followed.
This sad accident comes as a great shock to the entire Rankin community. The bereaved have the sympathy of all. The Star joins the friends and neighbors in extending condolence.
