Services for Oscar M. Eppley, 84, of 1658 Trindle Road, Carlisle, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

He died Wednesday, June 5, 1996, in Carlisle Hospital.

Born Nov. 5, 1911, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Frank A. and Velva J. Finkey Eppley.

Mr. Eppley was a retired carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union of America.

He was a member of Union Fires Co., White Circle Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299, all of Carlisle.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Helen E. Marpoe Eppley; two sons, Donald G. and Marlin E., both of Carlisle; one daughter, Sharon L. Smith of Mt. Holly Springs; two sisters, Emmaline Brenneman and Virginia Buchter, both of Carlisle; three brothers, Robert, Paul and Sylvester, all of Middlesex Township; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Michael V. Minnix will officiate at Monday's service. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church;- 64 E. North St., Carlisle 17013.

CARLISLE Oscar M. Eppley, 84, of 1658 Trindle Road died Wednesday in Carlisle Hospital.

He retired as a carpenter from the Carpenters and Joiners Union and was a member of Union Fire Company, the White Circle Club and Eagles Aerie 1299.

Surviving are his wife, Helen E. Marpoe Eppley; two sons, Donald G. and Marlin E., both of Carlisle; a daughter, Sharon L. Smith of Mount Holly Springs; two sisters, Emmaline Brenneman and Virginia Buchter, both of Carlisle; three brothers, Robert, Paul and Sylvester, all of Middlesex Twp.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
