Thomas D. Eppley, 83, of 21 Hummer St., Enola, died Wednesday Wednesday in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.

He was born Feb. 26, 1910, in Carlisle. He was the widower of Vera L. Eppley.

He was retired from the William Penn Museum, Harrisburg, and was a former employee of the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Carlisle. He also was a member of American Legion Post 914 of Lemoyne.

Surviving are three sons, Chester M. of New Cumberland, Frank T. of Cyclone and William P. of Summerdale; three daughters, Patricia Kellison of Wellsboro, Darlene Barclay of Loysville and Tammy E. Eppley of Gulfport, Miss.; four brothers, Oscar, Sylvester, Robert and Paul, all of Carlisle; three sisters, Emma Brenneman, Ruth Thoman and Virginia Buchter, all of Carlisle; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. John G. Ferguson, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township, at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
