MARVIN CECIL COOK
Cecil Cook was the first born child of Marvin Stephen and Lomie Clifton Cook. He was born in the area between Hamilton and Detroit Alabama. He attended Harris, Byrd and Hamilton High School from which he graduated. Cecil Cook married Agile Carter on 7 March 1937 in Hamilton Alabama. Cecil Cook entered the U.S. Army on 9 May 1945 at Fort McClellan, Alabama. His military occupation was a Machinist. His place of service was the Continental US. Decoration and Citations: WW II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal. Seperation Date was 3 May 1946 at Fort McPherson, Georgia. Upon returning to his family he lived on the farm where he was raised until 1953 when he moved his family to Birmingham, Alabama then later on to Adrian, Michigan. He had been employed by Bohn Aluminum, Martin Marietta, he retired from Kewaunee in 1981. He was a member of the Adrian Church of Christ. He enjoyed fixing anything that was broken, traveling, crossword, and jigsaw puzzles. He loved to listen to music. He and his wife Agile celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary on March 7, 2012. He lived a full and blessed life around his four children; Retha (James) Borton, Adrian, MI, Norman (Shirley) Cook, Ft. Worth TX, Majorie Corinne (William) Watson, Michigan Center, MI, and Jack (Janet) Cook, Clinton, MI, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
He will be missed.
