Mrs. Anna K. May, 89, 600 Poplar, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Monday night. She apparently had a heart attack.
She was born Feb. 1, 1887, in Russia. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a past member of the Dorcas Society at the church. Before retiring in 1957, she was employed at First National Bank in Topeka.
Three sons, Roland, Orlando and Jacob May preceded her in death.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Evangeline Porter, of the home, Mrs. Alvina Wellangel, El Dorado Springs, Mo., Mrs. Irene Anguish, 1234 Oakland, Mrs. Vivian Scotfield, 619 Green, Mrs. Evelyn Scott, 2727 Colorado, and Mrs. Henrietta Gleason, 227 N. Knox; a son, Linden May, 126 N. Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. John Bernhard, Herington, and Mrs. John Bartel, Clear Water; a brother, Fred Wittman, Seattle Beach, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church organ fund.
Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
