BIO by Karla Todd Sherer:

Samuel Henry Conley is the son of Samuel Henry, Sr. and I believe his mother to have possibly been named Mary Elizabeth Hubbard. While he is not listed in the few records I've found as a "Jr.", his father did bear the same name so he is a junior. Samuel is my Great Grand Uncle by marriage and is my father's namesake. My father's given name was Conley Leon after Samuel Henry's surname. He was married to my Great Grand Aunt Leona Elmira Scroggins in 1875, in Sevier Co., AR. They had 10 children, 9 of whom lived to grow up and they are to my current knowledge:

Martha Emmaline Conley 1877 – aft 1900
Lavinnia Jane Conley Ray 1878 – 1965
John Wesley Conley 1881 – 1960
Robert Lee Conley 1881 –
Unknown Conley 1883 – 1900
Thomas Jefferson Conley 1886 – 1948
Andrew Augustus "Gus" Conley 1887 – 1965
Grover Cornelius Conley 1892 – 1952
Samuel Henry, III Conley 1893 – 1941
Mary Elizabeth Conley Wolfe 1897 – 1983

Sam served his country in the Alabama Confederacy. He enlisted as a Private in Company E, 28th Infantry Regiment Alabama 15 Apr 1862, in Walker County, Alabama. Sam is my great grand uncle.

Rest in eternal peace uncle Sam....
