On Saturday evening October 9th, about 4 o'clock, Mr. Jared Armstrong departed this life. Mr. Armstrong had been sick for quite a while, the beginning of which was rheumatism, from which he never got any better. Mr. Armstrong was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Armstrong. He leaves a wife, three small children, father and mother, six brothers, three sisters and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his loss. Mr. Armstrong was twenty-seven years, six months and one day old. On Monday, Oct. 11th his body was laid to rest in the Laurel Gap cemetery.
