Passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, December 12th, 1984, RANSON (DUTCH) PIERSON at the age of 86 years, beloved husband of the late Florence Lavina Pierson of Lethbridge.
Mr. Pierson was born in Bear Lake, Idaho and came to Canada in 1902 to Magrath and later moved to Taber. As a young man he worked on farms and ranches, then worked in the mines at Taber before moving to Lethbridge where he continued to mine. He later started a trucking business which he operated until his retirement in 1954.
After retiring, he kept busy working on his car and he enjoyed fishing.
He served overseas in the Canadian Army, and was stationed in Vladivostok, Russia.
He is mourned by his five children, Howard Pierson of Shaughnessy, Arthur (Bertha) Pierson of Lethbridge, Doreen xxx of Nanaimo, B. C., xxx Lloyd of Pincher Creek, and xxx Lloyd of Lethbridge; four stepchildren , xxx Travalia of Lethbridge , xxx Walker of Black Falls, xxx Travalia of Lethbridge, and xxx Herter of Coaldale; ? grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Claude Pierson of Taber and Jack Pierson of Medicine Hat.
He was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle Iona in 1970 and his second wife , Florence Lavina Travalia in 1982
