Debra Jean Dunkel, 58, of Mt. Carmel, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1952 in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of William and Opal (Miller) Blaine. Debra married Mark Dunkel on Dec. 3, 1971 in Evansville, Ind., and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mark; five children, Chris (Trina) Dunkel, Tony (Tracy) Dunkel, Michelle Hicks, Tim (Sarah) Dunkel and Andrea (Jeff) Davis, all of Mt. Carmel; 13 grandchildren, Angel and James Dunkel, Courtney, Aleah, Autumn Dunkel, Mikhial, Abygail, Alex Hicks, Hannah, Mathew Dunkel, Christian, Jacey and Billye Davis, all of Mt. Carmel; one great-grandchild, Aiden Dunkel of Mt. Carmel; eight brothers and sisters, Mike (Carol) Blaine of Fort Branch, Ind., Jr. (Pam) Blaine of Evansville, Ind., Scott (Rebekah) Blaine of Evansville, Ind., Faye Fanton of Evansville, Ind., Donna (Kenny) Randolph of Evansville, Ind., Karen (Gary) Kenny of Newburgh, Ind., Dan Blaine of Evansville, Ind., and Annette (Don) Clark of Evansville, Ind.; special friends, Ashlee and Tootie Atwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and son-in-law, Jason Hicks.
Funeral services at the chapel of Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, with burial at Harrison Cemetery, Lancaster.
