We are told she does not have a grave stone. We tried to visit the cemetery several years ago, but were prevented from doing so because bee keepers were there to remove bees from the little church, which was to be demolished due to vandalism.

W. H. Clark, of White Church, was in town Tuesday after a coffin for Mrs. Ira Finch, who died at her home near there Monday night, aged about 65 years, the victim of a cancer. She was a member of a family who moved to that neighborhood from Iowa two years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday and burial was had at Dripping Springs.

"OBITUARY.
Died at White Church, Missouri, Dec., 3, 1900, Mrs. Nancy Finch, wife of Ira Finch, aged 73 years 5 months and 25 days.
Nancy Schermerhorn was born in Broome Co., N. Y. May 18th, 1827, and was married to Ira Finch May 15, 1850 who still survives her. There were three children born to them. The oldest Sheldon L. Finch who now lives at Gadsden, Tenn., Herbert T. Finch, one of our citizens, and Bert H. Finch who lived with his parents.
She had been a great, but patient sufferer for the past 20 years with rheumatism and for the past 10 years was wholly confined to an invalid chair. About 6 years ago she became aware that still another affliction was to be assigned to her lot in the form of a cancer, of which she has had 6 removed, and still early last spring, 2 more started which were the immediate cause of her death.
They moved from here six years ago to Tennessee thinking that the change to a warmer climate might be beneficial, but found the summer heat to (sic) oppressive and so moved to the Ozark Mountains in Missouri about 2 years ago.
She was converted and became a member of the M. E. church at the age of 15 and has ever lived a consciencious (sic) christian life, as she wrote her son Herbert about two months since that she was not depending on human aid but that Christ the great healer was her only reliance and healer, and the great physician has now removed her from all suffering and pain, and who although it is so hard to part, would be so cruel as to wish her back to still patiently suffer as she did under such trying raking (sic) pain."
