Mary L. Burry, 96, retired public school cafeteria manager, died Thursday. Services 10 am Monday, Capitol Hill United Methodist Church. (Hunter)

The Oklahoman, Sunday, Aug 26, 1990:
Mary L. "Aunt Mary" Burry, 96, of OKC, passed away Aug 23, 1990 at a local hospital after a short illness. She had been a member of Capitol Hill United Methodist Church since Dec 27, 1916; also was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School class and the Mary Martha Group, United Methodist Women. She was an honorary member of the Begonia unit of the Oklahoma City Flower Club.

She came to Oklahoma by wagon from St Joseph, MO, about 1900 and had been a resident in the Oklahoma City are since that time. She was married to Edward Bellamy Burry in 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph, Frank and Charles Rosebrook.

She is survived by her sisters, Elsie Benson, Tulsa; Helen Pack, OKC; Anna Cook, Nashville, TN; and Elsa Rosebrook, of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

In "Aunt Mary's" 96 years, she has been loved by many and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be at 10 am Monday, Aug 27, 1990 at the Capitol Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lowrie Welton officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Directed by Hunter Funeral Home.
