Robert Joesph was my Great-Grandfather. He was the son of
Robert Starr Balestier and Fannie Maria Holmes. He had 3 other siblings; Mary, Henry and Emma. He married Isabella F. Kaulfuss on October 12, 1889. Roberts first cousin, Caroline Starr Balestier was married to Joseph "Rudyard" Kipling famous Author and Poet. He was employed by the Delaware & Hudson Railroad Co. He was an invalid for many years and was cared for by his oldest married daughter, Verda Dorman in her home in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania and died there. He and his wife Isabella had 5 children:
