She was born July 27, 1915 in Caldwell County, to George Coffey and Pearl White Coffey Buchanan.
Mrs. Hollars retired from Appalachian State University Food Services and was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, three granddaughters, three grandsons, one sister, one daughter-in-law, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild,
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Zimbro and two sons, Don and Dean Hollar.
Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Three Forks Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Eddie Brookshire. Burial followed in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
Hampton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
