He was born September 20, 1943, in the Lower Creek community of Caldwell County, to Jeff and Lucy Coffey Hollar.
Mr. Hollar was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, one grandson, his mother, one sister, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Ronda Hollar, and a sister, Mary Ann Zimbro.
Services were conducted Sunday night at 8 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Elder John R. Jackson.
Graveside services and burial were conducted Monday morning at 10 a.m. at Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
Hampton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
