PHILIPSBURG - Norman E. Clark, 77, of Karthaus, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 8:05 a.m. in the Philipsburg State General Hospital.

Born March 12, 1909, in Bradford, he was the son of Joseph and Hannah (Heichel) Clark. He was raised by the late Anna Heichel Moore.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Askey; these children, Everett of Camphill, Matthew of Punxsutawney, Orvis and Cloyd, both of Karthaus; these brothers and sisters, Orvis Clark of Howard, Joseph B. Clark of Altoona, Hazel Tony of Chesapeake City, Md., Jessie Freed of Strasburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, Clearfield, and Oak Hill Grange.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, with Brother James Lenhart officiating. Interment will follow in the Keewaydin Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
